Leadership Award

The Leadership Award from the Association for Corporate Growth – Wisconsin Chapter recognizes and honors a distinguished leader from our state who demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities. 

Criteria

  • An individual who consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership including:
  • Making an outstanding contribution to the success of his or her organization.
  • Motivating the people around them to accomplish more than they would have normally, such as inspiring a high level of commitment from others when taking on new initiatives. 
  • Creating a compelling vision for the future and helps others understand their role in achieving that vision. 
  • Actively sharing responsibility, authority, information, and credit when working towards the achievement of a goal. 
  • Taking prompt and decisive action to resolve issues quickly, inclusively, and effectively. 
  • Setting a high standard of integrity by leading through example and maintaining high personal standards. Communicating in a manner that is fair, straightforward, honest, and open. 
  • Aligning actions and decisions with their organization’s strategic goals, mission, and direction. 
  • Playing an active role in civic, cultural, educational, or charitable activities.

Eligibility
All leaders of a Wisconsin-based organization are eligible for this nomination. ACG membership is not required. Award presentation will take place in-person at an ACG Wisconsin event on December 13, 2024.  Winner must be willing to participate in a 20-minute presentation about his/her organization.

Nomination Process
Nominations may be made by any ACG member. Self-nominations are also accepted. Please complete the nomination form and include summary explaining how the individual has demonstrated the criteria above and why he/she should be considered for the Leadership Award. You will be able to upload a document within the nomination form.

Nominations will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on August 31, 2024. 
Winning nominations will be notified in late August and announced at the ACG Wisconsin Awards Ceremony on December 13, 2024. 

Presentation
The award will be presented by the President of ACG Wisconsin at the Chapter’s Awards Program luncheon on December 13, 2024. The recipient will receive an engraved award. 

Nomination Guidelines

  • Clearly state how the individual or team demonstrates a commitment to leadership excellence. 
  • Cite specific examples of actions, communications, and decisions that are to be commended. 
  • Describe how the nominee’s organization or community has benefited from his/her leadership. 
  • Include specific examples, feedback, quotes, and other evidence. 
  • Cite examples of how the individual demonstrates behavior that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals.
