The presentation will highlight a number of practical considerations to be considered when executing a cross-border transaction.
Kevin D. Makowski is a partner, business lawyer, and co-chair of Foley and Lardner's International Practice. His work focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, and complex commercial transactions. Mr. Makowski has broad experience working regularly with clients in a variety of industries. Cross-border transactions are a particular emphasis of his practice. Mr. Makowski has extensive experience representing U.S. and foreign companies in complex multi-national transactions, and he has been a frequent speaker on topics related to this practice.

He is a member of the Transactional & Securities Practice, the Commercial Transactions & Business Counseling Practice, and the International Business Industry Team. He is also co-chair of the Food & Beverage Industry team. Mr. Schultz has represented buyers, sellers, investors, target companies, and intermediaries in over 100 business combination transactions aggregating over 12.5 billion in total consideration. These transactions have included companies located in the United States, China, India, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, Spain, Mexico, Canada, and other countries.
