Why did you join ACG WI NextGen?
The primary reason that I joined ACG WI NextGen was to meet other young business professionals in the Milwaukee area to build out my own personal network. Throughout the two years that I have been a NextGen Member, I have been able to connect with people my age with similar career aspirations as my own. ACG WI NextGen has provided me with a great opportunity to network with bankers, accountants, and other professionals that I could very well do business with.
What lessons have you learned during the pandemic that you think you will carry over in the long term?
During the pandemic, I learned that most work can be done outside of the office, but also that no amount of technology can replace the culture of working in an office setting as a team. One thing that we pride ourselves with at Promontory Point Capital is that we have a very team oriented and collaborative culture. Although this work strategy can be carried over to Zoom or Microsoft Teams, there is nothing that can replace sitting in a room together and bouncing ideas off one another.
What is an activity/goal of yours that you would like to complete?
At some point in my life, I would like to run (and finish) a marathon. I feel like I should start maybe with a half marathon first, but go big or go home, right?
