Guest Speaker: Jacquie Ryan
Vice President Social Enterprise + Sustainable Business, Scotiabank

Ms. Ryan was recently appointed Vice President, Social Enterprise, setting up a new Social
Impact division within the bank. Previously she was Vice President, Sponsorship Marketing
and Philanthropy at Scotiabank. Her portfolio included leadership on one of Canada’s largest
sponsorship deals- Scotiabank Arena, in addition to a number of other Hockey, Arts, and
community partnerships. Prior to Scotiabank, Jacquie served as Head, Olympic Marketing at
RBC, with responsibility for leading and implementing RBC’s 2010 Olympic and Paralympic
program. Ms. Ryan will discuss the opportunities and challenges in addressing key issues
including, ‘Diversity and Inclusion’, ‘Mentorship’ and combining corporate objectives with
corporate philanthropy in the Financial sector.
