The discussion will provide an overview of Lubar's investment philosophy and approach, as well as provide a comparison between family office and private equity investing. In addition, the presentation will discuss the motivations for the various parties involved in an M&A transaction.
 
Speakers include:
Dave Bauer, Chief Investment Officer, Lubar & Co.

Dave Bauer joined Lubar & Co. in 2005 as Chief Investment Officer. His work experience includes 5 years with Facilitator Capital Fund, a Wisconsin-based Small Business Investment Company, and 10 years with the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen, where he led the Wisconsin transaction advisory team assisting private equity funds and large corporations with their acquisitions and divestitures. He currently serves on the board or is an officer of Zero Zone, Lake Express and Shared Imaging.
 
Vince Shiely, Partner, Lubar & Co.

Vince joined Lubar & Co. as a Partner in 2001. Previously, he was an Officer at Briggs & Stratton Corporation, where for over 12 years he held a variety of senior operating roles. Prior to that, Mr. Shiely worked at Johnson controls in the Battery Group, serving as VP/GM of Automotive Batter Operations. He also spent over 12 years with Allen-Bradley in a variety of positions including Director of Operations and Director of Manufacturing.
Bill Harrison, Investment Analyst, Lubar & Co.

Bill joined Lubar & Co. in 2014 as an Investment Analyst. Previously, Mr. Harrison was a Vice President with Grace Matthews, a middle market investment bank in Milwaukee. At Grace Matthews, Mr. Harrison was actively involved in all stages of the merger and acquisition transaction process. Prior to that, Mr. Harrison was an Equity Research Associate with Robert W. Baird, providing fundamental research coverage, industry analysis, and investment recommendations to institutional equity investors.
