ACG Advocacy Alert: "Stop Wall Street Looting Act of 2019" (July 18, 2019) (login required)
In 2017, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act created the Opportunity Zone Program as a way to incentivize private-sector investment in distressed urban and rural areas. This is an innovative program that has the potential to offer significant benefits to ACG members.
ACG will continue to update the resources below so our middle-market members can stay up to date on guidance and other activity to help better understand this new program and the tax incentives it offers.
Launched to serve as an information resource for those engaged with the Opportunity Zones initiative, OpportunityZones.gov is intended to serve as a hub for the various stakeholders in the Opportunity Zones Program. Of particular note is the "Investors" portion of the website, which provides a variety of resources for investors, including how to establish an Opportunity Zone Fund, taxpayer incentives, relevant tax forms, and more.
