investors for green technology is not easy. Persuading industries to change is
even harder. Trying to do both as a start-up can be daunting, but Tom Schuler
of Solidia Technologies is doing it. Tom is bringing a sustainable
innovation to a market that is 2000 years old, and making it easy to adopt. The
last time the cement and concrete industry embraced a major product innovation
was about 200 years ago with the invention of Portland cement. To say Tom is
targeting an industry resistant to change is an understatement. His strategy is
informed by his belief that it can’t just be green, it has to be better. Tom

a compelling vision, collaborators who give you market insight and credibility,
and not quite enough time.
