J Li, Founding Partner @ Prototype Thinking Labs
J is the founder of Prototype Thinking Labs, a firm that helps teams who are launching new businesses/offerings find the right solution that customers will change habits to adopt. She believes that work should not only be effective, but also really fun and really meaningful pretty much all the time... as long as we design the work process itself through an accessibility lens.
The Prototype Thinking approach is directly inspired by J's experience relearning how to read and work after a major brain injury. She believes that the future of work lies in using lessons from disability and neurodiversity to create processes that are both astronomically more efficient and more healthy.
Prototype Thinking saves teams 6-12 months of runway / time-to-market compared to agile or lean startup, by optimizing experiments to solve the questions that matter most. It is practiced by thousands of teams across 30+ countries, including Google, Lego, Unicef, Stanford, Asana, Fitbit, Autodesk, Kaiser Permanente, Lululemon, and L'Oreal.
J is also a former Stanford mathematician / computer scientist, game designer, change consultant, and can reliably be found pursuing unique tropical fruit.
