Mike DeCamp

Mike DeCamp serves as Chief Executive Officer of CoverCress Inc. Founded in 2013, the St. Louis-based company is developing a winter oilseed crop for commercial production, derived from the native winter annual pennycress, under the CoverCress™ brand. He joined the company as Chief Operating Officer in 2020.

DeCamp has more than three decades of experience in agribusiness, corporate finance, law, corporate strategy, Mergers, and Acquisitions. Prior to joining CoverCress Inc., his work included serving for more than a decade in legal, strategy, and executive roles at Monsanto Company (now Bayer Crop Sciences), a Fortune 500 enterprise and leading global provider of technology-based solutions and agricultural products. During his career, he also founded an agricultural-focused strategic advisory and transaction services firm and led the corporate finance, capital management, M&A, and strategy functions as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer for a private equity firm investing in production agriculture.

A certified public accountant and a licensed attorney in both Missouri and Illinois, DeCamp also practiced corporate and securities law with a St. Louis law firm early in his career. He earned his law degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia, and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Missouri - St. Louis.
