Jeff Ciaramita, MD, was named president of both Mercy Clinic St. Louis and South divisions in May 2019. Dr. Ciaramita led the creation of and served as president of Mercy Clinic South since Fall 2017. He joined Mercy Clinic in 2008 as a noninvasive cardiologist and director of cardiovascular education. Dr. Ciaramita served as the Mercy Clinic St. Louis cardiology division chief for five years prior to being named president in 2017. During his tenure, Mercy experienced unprecedented cardiology growth, consistently earned top-rated group patient satisfaction scores, realized top tier quality metrics across the board, and embraced adoption and advancement of several new cardiac technologies. He earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at St. Louis University Hospital.

Carlos Saenz serves as Vice President of Business Development for the Mercy Ministry.   In his role, he oversees a business development team that nurtures multiple stakeholder relationships with Providers (both integrated and non-integrated), EMS, non-Mercy hospitals, Employers and Post-acute providers to drive and retain growth for Mercy.

Carlos brings leadership experience in his business development role as he has been a senior executive at major healthcare companies such as Abbott Laboratories, McKesson, EmCare and Sodexo.  In his roles, Carlos and his teams sold to Physician, Hospital and Integrated system, Group Purchasing, National Account, Managed Care, International and Post-acute Executives.

Carlos has served on the boards for the Texas and National Perinatal Association, The March of Dimes, The St. Louis Executive Connections, The American Association of Health Plans, and is certified as a Professional in the Academy of Healthcare Management.  He has also served on numerous other industry and local boards and associations.
