Terence Stern, MBA

MediBeacon
Vice President and Corporate Officer

Terry Stern has been with MediBeacon Inc. since its inception in 2012 when the Company was founded to enable the management buyout of technology from Coviden. Over the past 10+ years he has led the finance function and been instrumental in strategic initiatives that have positioned the Company for optimal execution upon an eventual US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of the Transdermal GFR Measurement System (TGFR) or real-time kidney function monitoring device

MediBeacon is a medical technology company specializing in the advancement of fluorescent tracer agents and transdermal detection. MediBeacon’s use of proprietary fluorescent tracer agents coupled with transdermal detection technology focuses on providing vital and actionable measurement of organ function. Earlier this year the Company completed enrollment in the TGFR Phase 3 study and made final regulatory submissions to the FDA. The ability to measure GFR (kidney function) is of high clinical interest especially in patients with or at risk of kidney disease. Kidney disease is a hidden epidemic, affecting more than 850 million people worldwide.

Terry is a multi-lingual, global executive with a broad record of entrepreneurial achievement across the healthcare arena. His leadership roles have spanned startups to large corporate entities in the US, Europe and Latin America.

Terry has held a range of financial and corporate development roles. He was part of a core financial team at Ralston Purina International (RPI). RPI was spun off into an independent publicly held company, Agribrands International Inc. (NYSE MKT:AGX).

As CEO and Founder of Vetbrands International, he led the private equity-backed management buyout of RPI’s pharmaceutical business. The resulting top ten Brazilian animal pharmaceutical business was sold to Ceva Santé Animale (global animal health company with revenues of over $1 billion).

Terry is fluent in French, Portuguese, and Spanish. He has his bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and a master’s degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
