His franchising journey began post-graduation from the University of Kansas when he opened two Mr. Goodcents franchise locations in St. Louis, sparking a passion for the business model. Zide’s entrepreneurial journey excelled again with his acquisition and growth of an Outdoor Lighting Perspectives franchise, which paved his path to co-found Mosquito Squad and later establish a multi-branded platform, evolving into Outdoor Living Brands.

 Zide’s leadership was pivotal during transitional phases, including the divestiture of Mosquito Squad and the subsequent focus on cultivating Outdoor Living Brands. The company’s growth attracted Lynx Franchising, leading to a significant investment and the appointment of Zide as president in 2021, which set the stage for the formation of Empower Brands.

 Now, as CEO of Empower Brands, Zide oversees a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential service brands. His expertise in franchising and commitment to fostering a franchisee-first culture continues to drive his success, positioning him as a dedicated advocate in empowering entrepreneurs to realize their business aspirations.
