Brad Scholtz, Managing Director, Scott Capital Partners 

Brad has worked at Scott Capital Partners, LLC and its predecessor company since 2007.  His responsibilities include originating, evaluating and negotiating private equity and growth capital situations.  Brad’s experience includes working with industrial manufacturing, business service companies, and several other industries.  Prior to joining Scott Capital, his career included working as an accountant at Arthur Young (predecessor company to Ernst & Young), at various investment banking boutiques as a consultant to several major corporations and private equity firms, and as an independent sponsor.  Brad received his M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business and his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University.

Mr. LaConti joined BEP in 2013. Prior to joining Brookside Equity Partners, Mr. LaConti worked at Summer Street Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, where he assisted in the investment process and portfolio management for a number of transactions in industries such as niche manufacturing and environmental services. Mr. LaConti started his career at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he oversaw the trading of Private Wealth & Private Bank Management accounts with a market value of over $1 billion. He graduated with honors from Cornell University, Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management.

Marcia Nelson is a Managing Director at Freedom Capital Markets. Marcia has spent a large portion of her career working in and for family offices and private dealmakers. Prior to FCM, Marcia was a Managing Director and head of business development for ShareNett, a members-only global network of professional investors, and she was previously at Alberleen Family Office Solutions, an independent investment advisory firm backed by family offices. She formerly worked for an ultra-high-net-worth philanthropic family and a sports and entertainment family. Over the last 20 years, she has developed a strong network of private families, institutional investors, and advisers who are increasingly seeking access to quality direct deal flow from trusted, experienced partners.

​Marcia is also a Founding Partner of Triple C Advisory, a business life cycle consulting firm that works with early-stage companies as an advisor and board member to prepare them to receive institutional-grade investments.

​Marcia serves as Chairman of the Board of Kinect Capital, a Utah-based non-profit early-stage accelerator, and she is on the Board of University Impact, a donor-advised fund focused on impact investing. She is a past president of ACG-NY, an association for middle-market dealmaking professionals, and she’s a member of DealmakeHers, an exclusive network of leading female dealmakers in the retail and consumer marketplace.

​Marcia received an honorary mention as one of the 2021 Most Influential Women in Mid-Market M&A by Mergers & Acquisitions magazine and was named one of the 2020 Most Influential Women and she was one of 2018 Who’s Who In Impact Investing by the Denver Business Journal and was honored with the 2017 ACG-NY Women of Leadership Award. 

​Marcia received her BA from Southern Utah State College and her MBA from the Gabelli School at Fordham University.

Sasha Bernier is managing partner at Hestia Holdings, a private investment vehicle. He is also in the investment team of Cheltenham Enterprises, a single-family office. Mr. Bernier is an active real estate and opportunistic investor.

Previously, he served as the vice president of Revere Capital, a real estate debt fund with the responsibility for underwriting and structuring new investment opportunities in the real estate debt space. He started his career as a banker at Evercore Partners.

Mr. Bernier holds a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.S. in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Bryan Cummings is a Managing Director and co-leads the US Financial Sponsor Group at Canaccord Genuity, a global investment banking and wealth management firm. Before joining Canaccord, Bryan served as Head of Financial Sponsor Coverage at DA Davidson, a national middle market investment bank. Previously, he founded and led the U.S. middle market sponsor coverage practice at RBC Capital Markets and led corporate development at a global information services firm. With 20 years of experience across investment banking and corporate finance, Bryan also brings extensive MA& and capital markets experience to his clients in the technology, diversified industrial and aerospace/defense industries, with tenures at J.P. Morgan, Bear Stearns and UBS. 

Before beginning his advisory career, he served as a U.S. Army combat arms officer in the U.S. and overseas with a focus on small unit leadership and shoulder-fired Stinger missiles. Bryan holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a bachelor’s degree in Politics and Near East studies from Princeton University. Bryan lives with his wife and daughter in New York City.
