ACGU Course Objectives

Prerequisites, Experience, Level of Difficulty:
i. 3-6 years of experience in private equity, corporate development, investment banking, law, accounting or lending are required.
ii. Intermediate Level of Difficulty: It is assumed that such junior level candidates will have the relevant education and job training to have mastered the deal-making basics required to successfully participate in the intermediate difficultly level classes of the program and the analytical skills necessary for group presentations and individual class participation.
iii. Applicants must also demonstrate the commitment necessary to successfully complete the program.
iv. Participants are chosen from a pool of approximately 75 applicants based on the overall composition and quality of the pool.
v. Applicants must be sponsored by an ACG member.
Content:
i. Essential Deal-Making Skills and Strategies
ii. In accordance with statute 11.63, subject matter is professional skills development.
Advanced Preparation:
Each class will require pre-reading and preparation for group presentations of case studies.
Teaching Method:
The course will be taught by experts using lecture, case study analysis and participants will give group presentations. Instructors are experts from the local M&A deal-making community qualified by relevant work experience and academic credentials.
Continuing Education Credits:
28 PA CPE or 24.5 CLE credits will be awarded by instructors to participants who successfully complete ACG University. Please make sure to sign in to class each week to receive full credits.
