Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina is a member of the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee and is committed to implementing commonsense reforms that benefit everyday Americans and reduce burdensome regulations.
Sen. Tillis played an active role in the passage of the bipartisan Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act earlier this year as well as the historic repeal of regulatory overreach by joining his colleagues in the Senate to strike down 15 regulations that will save taxpayers at least $3.7 billion and 4.2 million hours of paperwork.
This is a continuation of successful efforts by Sen. Tillis to implement changes at the state level during his tenure as North Carolina House Speaker, where Sen. Tillis spearheaded individual and corporate tax reform efforts based on three simple principles: simplify the tax code, lower rates, and broaden the base.
Sen. Tills lives with his wife Susan in Huntersville, North Carolina, and they are the proud parents of two grown children and grandparents to one grand-daughter.
