Matt Smith

 

MATT SMITH, Managing Director @ Cloud Capital

Matt Smith is a Managing Director at St. Cloud and is responsible for sourcing, execution, and portfolio monitoring functions. Previously, Mr. Smith founded and managed the Structured Finance Group at Banc of California, which focused on origination and structuring of senior credit facilities to middle market companies backed by private equity. Prior to that, Mr. Smith worked in commercial banking and leveraged finance roles at various commercial banks and leveraged finance groups.  He has served as Observer on the Board of Directors of Pipeworks, Inc. and currently serves as an Observer to the Board of Directors of AleraCare Holdings, LLC, AMP Security, LLC, Renters Warehouse, LLC, and Apposite Technologies, Inc.  Mr. Smith was also an Army officer and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan where he earned a Bronze Star Medal.

Mr. Smith earned his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and BA in Economics and Political Science from UC Davis.

Matthew Nacier

 

MATTHEW NACIER, Principal @ Lincolnshire Management

Matthew Nacier is a Principal at Lincolnshire Management, where he is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and reviewing new investment opportunities. He has assisted in overseeing the growth of several of the firm’s portfolio companies and worked closely alongside management teams to scale businesses. He holds board or board observer seats at Remedi8, Powerhouse, US Auto Supply, and Latite.

Prior to his current role at Lincolnshire, Matt worked for Iconic Holding, a global crypto asset management group, and Investindustrial Inc., a European investment group that provides industrial solutions and capital to mid-market companies, where he focused on North American add-ons and early-stage investment opportunities.

Matt earned a BA in Philosophy and Economics from Boston College, where he was Student Body President. Outside the office, Matt has a passion for all things automotive and also practices jiu-jitsu.

Craig Lilly is a leading legal advisor for private equity and strategic clients on domestic and cross-border technology acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, auctions, leveraged buyouts and minority investments.  Craig’s practice includes advising emerging technology companies on venture capital financings, corporate governance, public offerings and joint ventures.  He also represents fund sponsors in connection with structuring and organizing investment funds, parallel investment vehicles, and offshore funds.
