Roberta heads business intelligence and litigation support for the Americas region, leading a team across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia. A longtime former client of Control Risks’, Roberta has 25 years of experience as a principal private equity, infrastructure, and private debt investor across the world’s emerging markets. She has served both as a fund manager and as an institutional investor. Her key roles have included Managing Partner at South Africa’s Capitalworks Emerging Markets; Managing Director in the Growth Markets practice of Canada’s CDPQ; one of the original partners of Poland’s Abris Capital Partners; Managing Director at the AIG Infrastructure Funds; and Investment Officer at the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation.

Roberta has invested across the world’s developed and emerging markets and has a deep familiarity with key issues faced by asset owners and corporations across the investment cycle. She has also served on a number of private and public corporate boards and investment committees.

Roberta holds an MBA with honors from Georgetown University and an AB magna cum laude from Harvard College. She spent six years living and working in Ukraine, Poland and Russia. She speaks fluent French and Russian and understands Spanish and Ukrainian. Based in New York, she is a volunteer firefighter and serves on the board of New Women New Yorkers, an immigrant-focused NGO.

Adam provides mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory services to clients in the industrial sector. He has executed transactions for leading private equity groups, public companies, and private and family-owned businesses. Adam’s experience also includes buy-side transactions, cross-border advisory and debt advisory. He helps business owners achieve their financial goals by identifying strategic alternatives and advising them through the process. Adam focuses on working with specialty vehicle and niche-engineered product companies, as well as businesses that serve the energy, power and infrastructure end markets. He has gained significant expertise and knowledge of the business dynamics that drive these sectors, enabling him to maximize outcomes for clients. Joining as an analyst, Adam has spent his entire career at Lincoln. Adam earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame.

Rob Ospalik is a Partner with Baird Capital. He joined Baird Capital in 1999 after two years in Baird’s Investment Banking group. Prior to Baird, Rob began his career at Price Waterhouse. During his tenure at Baird Capital, Rob previously served as an investment team member, with a focus on industrial and industrial technology investments and subsequently as Co-Head of Baird Capital’s Global Portfolio Operations team, where he was responsible for U.S. and China-based operations and portfolio support resources. Rob currently oversees North American investments across Baird Capital’s focus areas in B2B Tech & Services. Rob graduated with a B.S. in accounting from Washington University in St. Louis. Within the community, Rob serves as Vice-Chair of the board of directors for the Old Town School of Folk Music, the largest community arts school in the country.
