Gary O’Brien

Gary O’Brien is a Managing Director at Hennepin Partners, a 35-person investment bank focused on sell-side M&A advisory. Since its founding in 2018, Hennepin has completed 75 transactions in a variety of sectors including agriculture, consumer, industrials, business services, software, and technology.

Gary began his M&A career in 1995. In addition to his work with entrepreneurs and private equity groups, he has handled divestiture assignments for corporate clients including Donaldson, Valspar, McQuay International, and Quad/Graphics. Gary holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University. He is a former trustee of Carleton College and an Emeritus Trustee of the Science Museum of Minnesota.
