Brian Baird joined Northcreek in 2020 and is a Vice President responsible for deal origination, deal execution, underwriting and portfolio management. Prior to Northcreek, Mr. Baird began his career as a mechanical engineer before becoming an Analyst in the valuation group at Stout Risius Ross in Chicago, IL. Mr. Baird attended business school at Vanderbilt University, where he focused in finance and accounting. Mr. Baird has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and an MBA from The Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.

Britney joined RCC in 2012 leading RCC’s investor relations. She manages strategic deal flow initiatives and helps to ensure the firm is engaging the top tier companies and investor networks in our sectors of focus. She is also responsible for strategic project management and post investment support.

Prior to joining RCC, she served as the Associate Editor for a national B2B publication and the editor for a physician, helping to publish three books. Britney graduated Magna Cum Laude from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University with a specialization in public relations, minor in psychology and a certificate in political communication.

Britney is active in the community serving as on the Board of Directors for Beech Acres Parenting Center and was previously Membership Chair of the Young Professionals Board for Cincinnati Works. Britney served an executive committee member of the National Venture Capital Association’s StratCom and founding member and Content Chair of VentureNext and a member of Cincy Women in Tech. Britney was named as part of Cincinnati Business Courier’s 40 Under 40 in 2022 as well as part of the YWCA Cincinnati’s 2016 Class of Rising Stars, completing the leadership development program in 2017.

Christy is a Partner with Fireroad Ventures.  With experience in marketing, fundraising, and operating leadership, Christy is passionate about helping founders (and their start-ups) grow and thrive in the competitive and consuming world of early-stage venture building.  She works with founders to provide feedback, capital, and connections to accelerate their ventures.  Previously, Christy was the Chief Operating Officer at OCEAN Programs, leading the operations, communication, and earned-revenue of the organization that focused on entrepreneurs who are solving real-life problems and want to build great companies without losing their souls.

Nic Ruscello joined Northcreek in 2020 and serves as a Vice President and has shared responsibility for portfolio, pipeline, & transaction management, due diligence, underwriting and analysis, financial modeling, and SBA and LP reporting. Prior to joining Northcreek, Nic was an Analyst full-time in the Executive Development Program at Macy’s Inc., rotating through various departments with increased exposure to management. He has also completed co-ops with both Toyota USA and Cincinnati Bell. Mr. Ruscello graduated top of his class at the University of Cincinnati with a M.S. in Finance with a concentration in Investment Management and previously a B.B.A in Finance with Business Analytics specialization.
