ACG's monthly member luncheons are the one meeting per month where you can efficiently network with Cincinnati's transaction ecosystem.  Attendance typically includes 100+ accountants, attorneys, bankers, consultants, investment bankers and various sources of capital from family offices to mezz debt to PE.  Topics are focused exclusively on some aspect of deal-making, often from business owners and corporate management who have completed successful deals driving corporate growth.

Barbara Turner, CRCP, has more than 35 years of leadership experience in the financial services industry. After joining Ohio National Financial Services in 1997, she steadily rose to a diverse range of executive positions and in November 2018 became Ohio National’s 11th president and chief operating officer and the first woman and person of color to serve in this role. She was elected to Ohio National’s board of directors in December 2019 and on January 1, 2021, she became president and chief executive officer, a role she held until November, 2022, after the acquisition by Constellation Insurance.  In 2023, Barbara launched BT Rise, a company that helps under-resourced populations succeed and reach financial independence.  She also serves on the Board of Directors of Envestnet and The Standard.


A Cincinnati native, Ms. Turner attended the University of Cincinnati and is a graduate of the SIFMA/Wharton Securities Industry Institute (SII). She was the first female in the United States to complete the FINRA/Wharton Certified Regulatory Compliance Professional (CRCP) program.

Ms. Turner and her husband Daman Turner have three adult children and four grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family, as well as traveling, cooking, reading and attending local arts events. She has a special passion for mentoring at-risk teenage girls and single mothers, and helping individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency and financial security and independence.

 

Active in the community, Ms. Turner has served on the board of directors of The Christ Hospital Health Network; Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce; Cincinnati State Technical and Community College; Cincinnati Women’s Executive Forum; Women’s Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation; and serves as vice chair of LL Global, Inc. as well as board chair of United Way of Greater Cincinnati. She is co-chair of the 2026 Cincy Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the city’s bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Barbara is also a member of the Cincinnati Business Committee (CBC), Commercial Club, Executive Leadership Council (ELC), and Women’s Capital Club (WCC).

Christine has over 25 years of banking experience from Global Banks including JP Morgan Chase, Scotia Bank and RBC. She has held various senior leadership roles in Corporate and Retail Banking, managing teams, sale processes, P&L, budgeting, cost control, and strategic planning. Prior to migrating to the United States in 2021, Christine was a member of the Executive Team at JMMB Bank and led their Corporate, Commercial and Business Banking, serving all Industry Verticals, across the Caribbean. She was an integral member of the project team that launched JMMB Commercial Bank in 2017 and spearheaded the strategy and implementation of their Business Banking segment. Christine holds a CPA certification and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University. She is an advocate for youth & community development and has served as an Adjunct Professor in Finance & Accounting at her Alma Mater for several years, volunteers frequently with Habitat for Humanity and other charity organizations.
