Noam Cohen is a Managing Director, Head of Retail at KeyBanc Capital Markets and heads up the firm’s retail industry calling efforts in the Consumer/Retail Group. Noam joined KeyBanc in August 2022 from RBC Capital Markets where he was a Managing Director in the firm’s Consumer/Retail Group for the past 10 years. Prior to RBC, Noam spent most of his 35-year career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, and he started his career in 1987 at Kidder Peabody.
Throughout his career, Noam has covered all retail and select consumer subsectors with a focus on M&A, leveraged finance, investment grade debt and equity capital markets transactions. Notable M&A advisory and/or acquisition financing transactions include Apollo’s acquisition of Michael’s Stores, Bass Pro Shops’ acquisition of Cabela’s, BC Partners’ acquisition of PetSmart, PetSmart’s acquisition of Chewy.com, CVC/CPP’s acquisition of Petco, Sycamore’s acquisition of Staples, Lowe’s acquisition of Rona, Bain’s acquisition of Bob’s Discount Furniture, Apollo’s acquisition of The Fresh Market, Adidas’ acquisition of Reebok, Sports Authority’s merger of equals with Gart Sports and Limited Brands’ acquisition of Intimate Brands.
Noam received a JD/MBA from The Wharton School and The University of Pennsylvania School of Law in 1987 and received his BSE from the University of Pennsylvania in 1983. Noam lives with his wife and 3 teenage children in Sands Point NY which is on Long Island.
