Dr. Tami Bolder

CBIZ

Dr. Tami Bolder is a director in the Northeast Ohio office of CBIZ Valuation Group, LLC. She oversees business valuation engagements for estate and gift tax, exit planning, SBA loans, purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment testing, domestic relations, and other litigation purposes. She also oversees litigation engagements involving both commercial and personal damages. Prior to CBIZ, Dr. Bolder was a member of BDO’s national valuation practice and prior to that, a member of the New Ventures Consulting Group of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young in Cleveland.

Dr. Bolder received her Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in 2012. She received an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, and she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Akron in Accounting/International Business with a minor in Economics.

Dr. Bolder is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who is an accredited senior appraiser (ASA) and accredited in business valuation (ABV). She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Ohio Society of CPA’s (OSCPA), the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland. Dr. Bolder served as a member of the AICPA Business Valuation Committee from 2014-2017 and she co-authored the AICPA’s Model Curriculum for Business Valuation.

Dr. Bolder is very active in her local community. She serves on the board of the Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio, where she is the current chair of the Audit Committee, and she serves on the boards of the Akron Chamber and Athena Akron. Dr. Bolder is a graduate of the Cleveland Leadership Center’s Civic Leadership Institute and Bridge Builders Class of 2015. She was also selected to the 2019 – 2020 Class 36 of Leadership Akron and she was appointed to the AICPA’s National Financial Literacy Commission for 2020 – 2023.

Dr. Bolder has been honored with several awards and recognitions for her many years of service and commitment to the community, including Who’s Who in Black Cleveland, 2023 Athena Akron Honorary Chair – Women’s Leadership Day Luncheon, and 2023 CBIZ Women to Watch. Dr. Bolder was also nominated as a Next Generation Fellow of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation and she is a recipient of the 2023 Power of Change Award from the Ohio Society of CPAs.

Karolina Calhoun

Mercer Capital

Karolina Calhoun, Senior Vice President at Mercer Capital, has been involved with hundreds of valuation and litigation support engagements in a diverse range of industries on local, national and international levels. Prior to joining Mercer Capital, Karolina was a Senior Auditor at EY (Ernst & Young) in their Audit and Assurance Services practice.

As a member of Mercer Capital’s Litigation Group, she provides valuation and forensics services for family law, gift & estate planning, commercial litigation, transactions (M&A), and further matters related to privately held businesses, dissenting shareholders, intellectual property, personal goodwill, etc. With her forensics accreditation, she provides economic and financial damages studies, asset tracing, lost profits, and lifestyle analyses.

Karolina served as the 2020 and the 2021 Valuation Chair of the AICPA’s Forensic and Valuation Services Conference and is a member of the AICPA’s CFF Exam Writing Task Force. Karolina is a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) Foundation, Forensic and Business Valuation Division. In addition, in 2022, she was appointed to the AICPA Business Valuations Committee” to “In addition, she has served on the AICPA Business Valuations Committee since 2022.

Matt Johnson

Seacap Advisors

Matt Johnson, CPA is a Partner and Managing Director of Seacap Advisors. Seacap provides Investment Banking, Business Valuation, and Strategic Advisory services primarily to privately held, founder and family-owned businesses in the middle market. Prior to joining Seacap, he was Chief Financial Officer for a Private Equity backed regional healthcare company. Prior to his CFO role, Johnson worked in banking, performing transaction analysis on acquisition prospects, and working with clients to help them achieve their strategic objectives.

Johnson is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) with the AICPA and sits on the Board of West Cancer Foundation and the West Tennessee Advisory Board for Youth Villages. He serves on the Board for ACG TN. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Finance and Accounting at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN.

Johnson received his bachelor’s degree from Christian Brothers University and his graduate degree from the University of Mississippi.
