Justin Santa Cruz serves as Chief Development Officer at US Eye, a leading physician network of ophthalmologists and optometrists working together to provide the best eye care to patients. Since US Eye’s inception in 2019, Mr. Santa Cruz has led the growth of US Eye’s network of practices and surgery centers from one state to five states in the Southeast U.S. In this role, Mr. Santa Cruz leverages over a decade of experience working with physicians on practice acquisitions and surgery center developments.

Prior, he was Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at Lincare Holdings, reporting to the CEO of the world’s largest provider of respiratory therapy products and services to patients in the home, operating approximately 1,000 locations in 48 U.S. states. Prior to Lincare, Mr. Santa Cruz served as Director, Development & Acquisitions at Surgery Partners, one of the nation’s largest operators of surgery centers and physician practices with more than 180 locations and $1.8 billion in revenue.

Prior to Surgery Partners, Mr. Santa Cruz served in Investment Banking at Raymond James Financial, advising leading health care companies, physician practices and management teams on mergers & acquisitions as well as public offerings ($1 billion in transaction value). Mr. Santa Cruz also served in Investment Banking at Crosstree Capital Partners, a boutique health care investment bank focused on life sciences and pharma services.

Jeff is a Principal and Director in the Transaction Advisory Services Practice in the Sarasota, Florida office of HBK. He began his public accounting career with a “Big Four” firm in 2010 and spent time in their Tampa, Boston, and London offices before joining HBK in 2021. Jeff has worked with a wide range of clients with a focus in the financial service and asset management sectors.

Jeff has audit and transaction advisory experience with clients and businesses ranging in size from small, private clients to public, multinational financial services firms. While he spends much of his time focused on audit and advisory engagements with his clients, he also works to develop and facilitate training programs and is a project manager for the development of software programs.
