Jay Miller – Partner MJS Investors
Jay manages the day to day operations and investments of MJS Private Equity division. Prior to MJS, Jay spent four years playing professional baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies and later worked for several years with restructuring firm Alvarez and Marsal where he consulted on large corporate Bankruptcy and Settlement cases.
Jay earned an accounting degree from Washington State University and a Masters in Business Administration.
Outside of work, Mr. Miller is actively involved with Moving Beyond 12, a non-profit organization supporting under privileged inner-city youth and their pursuit of athletics and post 12-year education. Mr. Miller is a member of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) Seattle Chapter.
Bryce Hansen, Owner Basta Boatlifts
Bryce is owner of Basta Boatlifts. As President, he oversees the Basta General Manager, Controller and VP of Sales. Bryce is responsible for the long term mission, vision and goals of the organization. He’s the number #1 cheerleader.
Like Jay, Bryce also earned an accounting degree at Washington State University. Bryce started his career as an auditor for Clark Nuber, then spent time as Assistant Controller for Elcon Electrical, Accounting Manager and Key Accounts Sales Manager for Outdoor Research. Finally, prior to Basta, Bryce was a principle with a local M&A firm specializing in lower middle market sales and consulting.
Outside of work Bryce is active in the Northwest Marine Trade Association, Watersports Industry Association and National Marine Manufacturers Association. Bryce enjoys mountain biking, skiing, watersports and playing with his 3 year old son.
