The Topic In More Detail:
Join our tour of common and novel ways that M&A targets have misrepresented -- whether on purpose or not -- their accounting statements and compliance with regulations like those designed to foil criminal behavior. Our three panelists come with a wealth of DD war stories that will better equip you to trust, but truly verify.
First up is FRANK WISEHART, CPA, ABV, CFE, CVA, MAF, Cornell MBA, forensic accountant and Partner at consultancy Baker Tilly. Next, meet CPA CRAIG HAMM who leads the Transaction Advisory Group at consultancy BPM LLP where he focuses on assurance and financial due diligence. And not least, MICHAEL LOWELL, chair of Reed Smith’s Global Regulatory Enforcement Group and member of the firm’s Global Leadership Team. Based in DC, he is expert on the regulations that address terrorism, the theft of sensitive American IP, and similar activities. He earned a JD from George Mason University.
