Longtime Member and Former President of ACG San Diego Passes

Dear Members and Supporters of ACG San Diego,

It is with a heavy heart that we share with you the passing of longtime San Diego member and former President of ACG San Diego, R. Michael "Mike" Jones.  His death comes as a shock and we are left without words to express our deep loss on an incredible professional, colleague, friend and human being.

Mike was a Partner and Business and Corporate Law attorney at Higgs Fletcher & Mack, a San Diego-based, full-service law firm.  Prior to being named ACG San Diego President in July 2016, Jones served as President Elect, Program Chair and was a member of the Program Committee.

He recently turned over the presidential leadership role in July 2017 and remained very active on our Board and in various initiatives to support local business owners and entrepreneurs. Mike was involved with ACG for many years, helped us grow and serve an important role in the middle-market business community.

Deeply respected by his peers, trusted by his many clients, and well-liked within the ACG and business communities, Mike leaves a deep impact and legacy. He was an exceptional attorney and expert in corporate growth, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions, which made him a perfect part of our organization.  With his charm and drawl, he was a welcoming force and strong leader of ACG San Diego.  Those who knew him appreciate his humor and sharp wit, as well as sincerity and kindness to others.  His passion and presence will be missed.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues, including many of you.  We are deeply sorry for your loss. As we learn more about any planned memorial services in his honor, we will communicate with you.
