ACG San Diego | Mid-Year Private Capital Markets Update

Patrick Gimlett joined AB in 2015 and is a Managing Director of AB Private Credit Investors, where he covers generalist financial sponsors. He also assists with fund-raising within AB’s financial advisor network. Gimlett was previously a vice president with GE Capital’s Energy Financial Services Group.  Gimlett holds a BBA in finance from the University of Notre Dame.

Stefan joined HCAP Partners in July 2022. He brings over fifteen years of investment, investment management, and operational experience to the team and has either led or participated in transactions in several sectors, including logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, business services, environmental services, education, food and beverage, and retail. He has sat on a number of boards in these sectors either as a member or advisor in both the U.S. and Mexico. Before joining HCAP, Stefan was a Principal and investment committee member at CVF Capital Partners, a California-based private equity and mezzanine financing firm. Prior to that he served as Vice President on Tresalia Capital's private equity team where he led and participated in several transactions throughout the U.S. and Mexico.

Joel Weinstein is a Managing Director at RA Capital with over 20 years of experience in investment banking, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, capital raises, and strategic advisory for both public and private companies. He was a founding partner at W Partners, where he led the firm’s M&A advisory across various industries. Previously, he served as a Vice President at RA Capital and worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Assurance and Business Advisory group, specializing in technology and entertainment.
