Nomaco Vice President of Business Development: John Maynie

bioMason is disrupting the construction industry with a sustainable concrete product that is grown and not fired, thus avoiding the huge energy consumption required by bricks and can be manufactured with specifications like higher density or insulation.

Canopy Lawn Care is already consolidating the fragmented landscaping world in Raleigh and Charlotte with eyes on the Southeast very soon, followed by plans to be a national brand. Lowes made an investment in Canopy with others when they saw the potential of their technology to make their landscaping service customer friendly and efficient for their employees.

Farmshots is addressing another fragmented world in farm consulting. Utilizing satellite and drone imagery, they can detect crop problems and resolve issues easier than ever. This can lead to huge reductions in manpower spent physically scouting the crops or fertilizing.

Nomaco, not resting on its laurels having disrupted the world of wine with its synthetic Nomacorc product, has developed Herculean structural foam. This product can replace plywood in tractor trailers and RV flooring or OSB and pressboard in many construction uses.

Come out and hear among other highlights how these innovators developed their products and processes, the mistakes they made along the way, and what industries or products are being put on notice.
