Join the PVCA Emerging Leaders Board at the Livermore in East Liberty for a moderated discussion with Joel Adams and enjoy a behind-the-scenes look into venture funding, growing disruptive companies, and maybe even a few anecdotes about growing up on a dairy farm.
Joel founded Adams Capital Management in 1994 focusing on leading early-stage applied technology investments. He has grown ACM into national venture capital firm having raised 815 million of capital since inception. An early investor in Dell Computer in 1987, Joel has also been an early investor in such notable Pittsburgh companies as CoManage (acquired by Syndesis in 2005), SmartOps (acquired by SAP AG in 2013), Certes Network, Snap Retail and most recently helped lead Dynamics Inc. to a 70 million Series C, the largest venture capital raise in our region’s history. Joel is a member of several charitable organizations and a Trustee of Carnegie Mellon University.
Developed by the founders of Bar Marco and named after the infamous early 20th century Wall Street speculator Jesse L. Livermore, the casual evening will be hosted in the acclaimed restaurant’s new Cloak Room speakeasy bar. The Livermore is located on South Highland Ave. in East Liberty directly across from the Highland Building and around the corner from Spoon. Light fair provided. A well curated selection of artisanal cocktails and additional appetizers will be available at the cash bar. Space is limited.
Cancellations received via email at least 3 business days from the event will be granted a refund, less a 20% administrative fee. Cancellations received after the cut-off date (3 days prior to) are not eligible for a refund. However, registrations can be transferred without penalty to another representative from the same company for the same event, with advanced notification to organizers. If the replacement representative is not a member of the association, the firm will be responsible to pay the difference between the member vs. non-member rate (this will vary depending on the event).
