Human Capital Management, Innovation, and Technology Governance in the Boardroom

In today's dynamic business environment, effective governance of human capital management (HCM) and technology is crucial due to social media, artificial intelligence, cyber security concerns, the gig economy, and the global pandemic.

Inadequate governance in these areas can lead to stakeholder losses, reputational damage, and solvency issues. However, a scarcity of HCM and technology expertise in boardrooms and C-Suites hinders the development of robust strategies and governance frameworks.

Join us as our speaker Yemi Akinkugbe discusses how board directors must balance strategic oversight and operational involvement given the increasing responsibilities and liabilities with HCM and technology management. To navigate successfully, board directors should maintain a strategic mindset, prioritize risk management, and possess the necessary expertise and education. By incorporating individuals with HCM and technology knowledge into leadership positions, organizations can enhance their ability to formulate effective strategies, mitigate risks, and drive value creation.
