Drew Maloney is President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Investment Council (AIC), an advocacy and research organization representing the private equity industry. Maloney served as an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury. He worked on a range of major issues including the passage of the tax reform law, financial services reform, CFIUS, trade policy, and sanctions. He received Treasury's Distinguished Service Award for his achievements and leadership. Prior to Treasury, he was a corporate officer and VP of Government and External Affairs for Hess Corporation. Earlier, Maloney was CEO of Ogilvy Government Relations, a bipartisan government affairs firm. Maloney is recognized as a leading government affairs expert. He has held senior positions for several congressmen including House Leadership. He served as a senior advisor to several presidential campaigns and advised on presidential transition efforts. He holds a bachelor's degree from Randolph-Macon College and a J.D. from Catholic University. Maloney is Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in the Smithsonian Institution and serves on the board of directors for the Meridian International Center. Maloney is also a board member at EllieMae, the largest home loan processor in the U.S.
