Dr. Amish Patel graduated medical school from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He received his medical degree in 2006. After graduating Dr. Patel obtained a transitional year internship at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago. He graduated from his Internship with Honors in 2007. Dr. Patel began his specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton, IL in 2007. While at Marianjoy, Dr. Patel headed up several committees including the Ethics Committee, Patient Safety Committee, and GME Committee. Dr. Patel served as Chief Resident his senior year and graduated his residency in 2010. Currently, Dr. Patel is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Rehab Consultants. IRC is a physician group specializing in rehab within Post-Acute facilities, and is currently the largest Physiatry group in the country. IRC currently has over 250 physicians providing Physiatry services in over 40 states and 1000+ facilities. A visionary in today's world of Value Based Medicine, Dr. Patel also currently serves on the board for Vitae Health Systems. Dr. Patel is a current/past member of numerous professional societies including American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and AMDA-PALTC. He currently serves on the EQPC committee for the AAPMR.
