Ankur is one of the leaders of the Healthcare Systems & Services Practice. He focuses on counseling healthcare systems and pharmaceutical and medical-device companies on strategy and corporate-finance issues. Ankur is the firm’s leading practitioner on healthcare M&A and performance transformations and has consistently directed M&A and finance capability-building efforts at many large healthcare companies. He has also authored articles on corporate finance topics in McKinsey on Finance and has presented his work at CFO roundtables in Toronto, Boston, and San Francisco.
Prior to his McKinsey experience, Ankur worked as vice president of finance at the New York-based start-up Gerson Lehrman Group—which received Series A and Series B funding from Bessemer Venture Partners/Silver Lake Partners—and as a president’s fellow at Harvard University.
As part of his course work at IRIM&EE, Ankur was designated a certified chartered engineer from the United Kingdom’s Engineering Council. He also received his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker scholar.
