On February 25th, join ACG New York for an honest, expert panel discussion tackling the complexities of parental leave for employees and employers. You’ll gain valuable insights on how to successfully navigate parental leave negotiations, communicate with peers and managers, and return to work with confidence at firms of different types and sizes. The panel will also explore how employers can proactively create supportive parental leave policies that help retain top female talent. Packed with practical strategies and real-world experience and advice, this session is designed to empower women in finance and private equity to thrive before, during and after parental leave.

Erin Carroll has over 20 years of experience in executive search and financial services and focuses on recruiting senior investment and non-investment professionals across asset management with a particular focus within the private markets. She has extensive experience recruiting investment, investor relations, business development/deal sourcing, human capital/talent, portfolio operations, finance, and other key senior professionals on behalf of private equity and private credit client organizations. Prior to joining BraddockMatthews at inception, Erin spent more than five years recruiting senior-level asset management talent at HigdonBraddockMatthews and Conley & Co.  

Earlier in her career, Erin spent nearly eight years in the asset management, private banking, and wealth management businesses of Merrill Lynch in New York City and was an Associate at Douglas C. Lane & Associates, a New York-based registered investment advisor.

Erin is an active volunteer in her community and currently serves as a Trustee of the Sherborn Library.

Erin received a BS in Business and Economics (cum laude) from Lehigh University.

Sheemul Valecha is a Director in the Consumer & Retail Investment Banking Group at Bank of America. Sheemul focuses her time covering clients across the Personal Care and Consumer Health sub sectors. She has advised on and executed various M&A transactions involving public, private and founder led businesses. Prior to joining Bank of America in 2021, Sheemul spent 7 years focusing on Consumer & Retail M&A in EY's investment banking practice. Earlier in her career, Sheemul focused on business valuation in support of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, tax planning and financial reporting. Sheemul received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Sheemul lives in New York City with her husband and two kids.

Maggie Prager is a Private Equity investor with over 17 years of experience originating and leading lower middle market investments in the business and consumer services industries. Prior to founding ECY Partners, Maggie served as a Director at Paine Schwartz Partners, a middle market private equity firm focused on food & agriculture, and Bregal Partners, a lower middle market private equity firm focused on consumer and business services; previously she was a Principal at TZP Group, a lower middle market private equity firm focused on business and consumer services, where she spent 8 years and joined the initial team deploying its first fund. Maggie holds an A.B. in Economics with Certificates in Finance and Theater from Princeton University, and an M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University where she was a Center for Research in Technology & Innovation Scholar.
