Dana Bezerra joined the CREO team as Regional President Americas in May 2024.  CREO is a community of climate led sustainable investors, predominately single-family offices and institutional asset owners, who in aggregate steward more than $1T AUM. 

For the 18 months before joining CREO, Dana worked alongside three founders (the Chairman EMEA private equity for Bain, Senior Partner Actis, Managing Partner and Executive Committee Simpson Thacher) to build and launch Greater Share.  Greater Share is an innovative philanthropic investment company harnessing the expertise of the world’s top performing private equity funds and high impact NGOs to solve complex global challenges together.  

For the nearly two decades prior to Greater Share, Dana served multiple roles within the Heron Foundation, including the last several years as President.  She played a key role in rotating the foundation’s entire portfolio (across all asset classes and grants) to better reflect Heron’s mission. She became responsible for sourcing and underwriting deals, identifying and developing relationships across a spectrum of investors, syndicating capital when possible, and cultivating opportunities to deploy the full range of Heron’s philanthropic and market-rate toolkit.  

Always committed to systems change, Dana has been active in the leadership of several organizations, including two privately held investment firms as well as the Milken Institute’s Center for Financial Markets, Duke University’s Fuqua CASE i3 Advisors and as a frequent guest lecturer at the Tamer Center for Social Enterprise at Columbia University and as part of Harvard’s Advanced Leadership Initiative designed to unleash the potential of experienced leaders to help solve society’s most pressing challenges.

Phyllis Kurlander Costanza, As Principal and Chief Social Investment Officer at Advanced Portfolio Management's Social Investment Solutions division, she leads the development of a Social Index and associated funds targeting companies excelling in both social impact and financial performance.

Previously, Phyllis served as CEO of UBS Optimus Foundation and Global Head of Social Impact for 11 years. Under her leadership, the foundation's annual giving grew from $10 million to over $200 million. Her team pioneered innovative financing models, launching the first Development Impact Bond in India with Educate Girls and the first Social Success Note in Uganda with Yunus Social Business.

Her extensive experience in social finance, innovative funding models, and leadership roles in prominent foundations make her a highly sought-after speaker at universities and conferences worldwide.

Phyllis has also worked in government for Governor Mario Cuomo of New York, and holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Josh Smith is Director, Investor Relations at Emerald Development Managers LP. He joined the firm in 2019 and focuses on building and strengthening Emerald’s long-term relationships with its limited partner (LP) investors, other family offices and co-investors, a role informed by his fifteen years of operating experience in Venture Capital and at major nonprofit institutions. 

Before joining Emerald, Mr. Smith served as Director of Operations and Membership for Plum Alley Investments, where he managed early-stage direct investments for over 200 HNWI, Family Office and private investors, and designed and executed exclusive learning experiences for the membership at the intersection of innovation and investing. Plum Alley is an Emerging Manager focused on investing in female founded companies in deep tech and health tech. 

As Associate Director of 92NY Camps and a member of the Senior Leadership Team at 92NY from 2013 to 2017, Mr. Smith launched and ran educational programs focused on leadership and technology for over 1100+ youth participants and over 400 staff members. Programs included technology-based electives such as coding, robotics and entrepreneurship, as a well as a grant-funded college internship program that was expanded as a collaborative initiative across multiple New York-based community organizations. 

Mr. Smith holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from NYU’s Stern School of Business, an 

M.A. in Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, and a B.A. in International / Global Studies with a specialization in Middle Eastern Studies from The Ohio State University.

Participants can share and discuss best practices for Family Offices and Limited Partners while developing relationships in a convenient and enjoyable setting. 

This new combined series for Family offices and multi type LPs is ideal for these groups who not only fund invest in middle market alternatives such as private equity but also co and direct deal invest.
