After a career in private equity at Chase Capital Partners/JPMorgan Partners, Michele founded Ilhabela Holdings in 2008, obtaining the exclusive U.S. license to market Melissa Shoes—then an established brand in Brazil, but totally unknown in the U.S. With no outside funding, Levy bootstrapped it until a deal with Saks Fifth Avenue broke open the market. The company was profitable from its second year until exit. As CEO and founder of Melissa Shoes USA, Levy led a company with over 110 employees, millions of pairs of shoes sold yearly and 12 retail stores. She has expanded the brand’s D2C sales, opened a children’s line, and has been an early adopter of growth technologies. In 2023, Elle magazine called Melissa “the future of footwear” and The LEAD publication has named her one of the USA top CEOs, highlighting her “ability to lead, embrace innovation and technology to drive business forward.” Levy is also the co-founder and CEO of Costa Brazil, a pioneer in clean beauty acquired by Amyris (NASDAQ: AMRS) in 2021. She is an investor, focused on companies in consumer goods, tech, and wellness. She sits on the Board of Limonada and on the advisory boards of LØCI, Elephant in a Box, TheList, Chevignon, and Agua Bendita. She previously served on the Board of The Brazilian Railways. Levy holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a graduate of the University of São Paulo School of Economics. She’s a member of YPO Manhattan and WCD (Women’s Corporate Directors). She started her career at 18, working at Chase Manhattan Bank in Brazil. |

Sasha Bernier is managing partner at Hestia Holdings, a private investment vehicle. He is also in the investment team of Cheltenham Enterprises, a single-family office. Mr. Bernier is an active real estate and opportunistic investor.
Previously, he served as the vice president of Revere Capital, a real estate debt fund with the responsibility for underwriting and structuring new investment opportunities in the real estate debt space. He started his career as a banker at Evercore Partners.
Mr. Bernier holds a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.S. in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
