Mark Oligschlaeger

Mark Oligschlaeger has spent his career in investing, senior operating roles, real estate development, and private credit. His unique background as both a principal and investor has granted him firsthand personal insight that makes him a better investor.

Prior to joining Cynosure, he was the founder and President of Eider Capital, an opportunistic real estate credit fund. He previously served as President and COO of The Buckner Company, a leading regional property and casualty insurance agency, and in senior leadership and asset management roles at Leucadia National Corporation (now Jefferies, NYSE: JEF). While at Leucadia, Mark had operating and M&A responsibilities for several of the firm’s investments in insurance, telecommunications, and financial services, and he also led the development of the firm’s real estate portfolio in Utah, Colorado, and Florida. Earlier in his career, Mark was a consultant for APM/CSC Healthcare.

Mark serves as a Director of SG Credit Partners, Gold Medal Pools, Med One Group, and GoReact. He received an MBA from Brigham Young University, where he was a Hawes Scholar, and a B.S. in Business Management from B.Y.U., where he was a James S. Kemper Scholar
