Zane Busteed

As a Director at Mercato Partners’ Traverse Growth Fund, Zane is involved with PrimeTrust, ObservePoint, and Kuali. In this role, he identifies growth-stage companies and leads all aspects of structuring and closing investments. Once the companies are in the portfolio, Zane works with them providing counsel, governance, and harvest preparation. Zane’s areas of focus include technology for the financial, education, and marketing sectors; security; and network infrastructure. 

Prior to Mercato, Zane was a business analyst with Goldman Sachs and an investment analyst with Palo Alto-based Highcrest Management Group. Zane began his work at Mercato as an investment analyst, performing market research, financial modeling, valuation, diligence, and portfolio company harvesting activities.  

Zane graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in economics and political science and received an M.B.A. at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
