Joost de Vries is the Chief Executive Officer at DeLorean Motor Company, with over 35 years of experience in the automotive industry. As a groundbreaking pioneer in the market, Joost de Vries utilizes his international experience and knack for problem solving to curate teams that excel, drive creative change, and uplift brands to their full potential. Joost began his leadership career in the automotive industry at AB Volvo Trucks and Buses in the Netherlands and quickly moved to AB Volvo in Ghent, Belgium, gaining experience in business-to-business dealings and later expanding the company’s operations on an international level. After AB Volvo, Joost went on to lead Xi’an Silver Bus Corporation’s Chinese-based factory, where he served as President and expanded the company into Export markets during his five-year tenure. Joost then held positions at several respected automotive brands in North America, first as VP of Sales Administration at Mack Trucks, then as the first VP of Worldwide Service at Tesla Motors. Later, Joost created his own company, Dramis International in Quebec, which built 80-ton off-road mining trucks. Globally recognized as the resurrector of Karma Automotive, Joost was the driving force behind the brand's famed come-back, from realization to vehicle delivery. After 6.5 years of building Karma Automotive from the ground up, Joost brings his wealth of knowledge to DeLorean Motor Company. Joost received his Bachelor's Degree from the Institute for CarTrade in the Netherlands and holds Master’s Degrees from IVA Driebergen in the Netherlands, INSEAD in France, and Ashridge Business School in the United Kingdom. Joost is originally from the Netherlands and is fluent in English, Dutch, French, and German and has working proficiency in Swedish and Mandarin.
Cancellation Policy – Cancellations received in writing to acgasa@acg.org by 5PM, July 25th will receive a full refund. There are no refunds for cancellations received after 5PM on July 25th. If you are an ACG Member unable to attend, you can transfer your registration to another person for this same event. If the person attending in your place is not an ACG Member, they will need to pay an additional fee to bring them up to the non-member rate to attend.
