Todd Centurino, Director of Investments & Head of Private Markets with Memorial Hermann, and Ryan Haselden, VP with Eaton Partners, will discuss the record levels of deal volume last year and provide us with an outlook on fund raising activity headed into 2022. They will also share some perspective around the increasing attention towards investment strategies shifting to meet Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) associated criteria and how GPs across the country are responding in order to retain and compete for capital.

Senior Director of Investments and Head of Private Markets

Mr. Centurino is a Senior Director of Investments and Head of Private Markets for the Memorial Hermann Health System, a Houston based hospital system with over $5B in assets. In the is role, he is active in all investment office matters but is especially focused on managing and overseeing the build-out of the systems Private Market allocation. 

Previously, Mr. Centurino was the Chief Investment Officer at New Capital Management, a Houston based Registered Investment Advisor, where he had responsibility for investment research, portfolio management, investment reporting, and trading.  Prior to joining New Capital, Mr. Centurino spent four years at Salient Partners, L.P., a wealth advisory and asset manager in Houston, as the Director of Outsourced CIO Solutions.  In this capacity, he was an acting CIO for a $10 billion public pension plan, which involved management of investment staff, investment policy design and implementation, and  direct oversight of a multi-asset portfolio consisting of traditional equity and fixed income investments, hedge funds, private markets, and derivative overlay strategies. He also spent six years with the Teacher Retirement System of Texas where he was a Senior Investment Manager responsible for the design, selection, and portfolio management of over $3 billion in hedge fund investments.   Mr. Centurino began his career as an Investment Consultant with Fidelity Investments.

Mr. Centurino holds a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and an MBA from Rice University.  He is member of the Board of Overseers for the Rice University M.A. Write Fund and is a CFA charterholder.

Ryan Haselden

Ryan Haselden

Ryan Haselden focuses on the origination and execution of various alternative investment offerings, with a focus on real assets strategies. He has over 9 years of financial services industry experience. Prior to joining Eaton Partners, Ryan worked for Salient Partners in their Private Markets group, where he focused on various alternative assets, including venture capital, real estate, growth equity, buyout, and commodity related investments. Prior to working with the Private Markets group, he also worked as a Relationship Manager for Salient Partners, where he focused on high net worth clients. Ryan began his career as an Analyst at Enchanted Rock, Ltd., a start-up power company focused on the development of generation assets.

Ryan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Vanderbilt University and his Master of Business Administration from Rice University. He holds Series 7, 66 licenses and 79 with FINRA.
