Please join us for an executive briefing with Mike Longo, CEO of Hibbett Sports. As the former CEO of Memphis based City Gear, Longo led many transactions, growing the business to 135 stores in 15 states when Hibbett Sports purchased the retailer in late 2018, and later named Longo CEO. But the growth hasn’t stopped there. Amid the pandemic, Hibbett Sports has been an anomaly as a retailer. Year over Year Net Sales increased 17% and 13 new stores were opened. Hear Longo’s inspiring story of M&A, executive leadership, and the flexibility to pivot, adapt, and prosper amid a pandemic.

Mike Longo - CEO, Hibbett Sports

Michael E. Longo joined Hibbett Sports, Inc. as Chief Executive Officer and President in December 2019. Formerly, he served as Chief Executive Officer for Memphis based City Gear, LLC, where he oversaw the successful sale of the company in 2018 to Hibbett Sports. Prior to City Gear, he worked in positions of increasing leadership within AutoZone, Inc., starting as a vice president in 1996 and progressing to Executive Vice President in 2005. Mr. Longo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy and an MBA from Harvard University.
