A pioneer in localization, every chef-driven ice cream flavor is handmade in small batches using the best organic and sustainable ingredients from local farmers and artisans. Malek has been named to Inc Magazine’s 100 Female Founders list of entrepreneurs, the Cherry Bombe 100 list featuring female leaders in the culinary space, and Nation's Restaurant News’ Power List.

Colin Nederkoorn is founder & CEO of Customer.io, a messaging platform for marketers looking to automate and personalize emails, push notifications, and SMS messages. The rapidly growing 60-person firm was founded in 2012 and today serves over 1700 startup and mid-market customers globally.

Kim Thanos is CEO and co-founder of Lumen Learning, a 50-person software company that improves student success through the use of cutting-edge open educational resources and learning analytics. Through her work at Lumen, Kim has assisted hundreds of colleges and universities in transitioning high-enrollment courses to use innovative and engaging open educational resources instead of expensive and boring text books and paper-exams, allowing students to have access to required course materials from day one, and creating over $50 million in savings for students. This fall 140,000 college students will use Lumen to access their curriculum and assessments, whether attending in-person or online.

Eric co-founded the Oregon Angel Fund in 2007 as an experiment to combine the collective horsepower of a select group of active, accomplished angel investors and entrepreneurs with the rigor and discipline of a professional venture fund.

“Our hunch was that we might be able to make better decisions and add more value if we invited into the fund Oregon’s entrepreneur and technology leaders and equipped and empowered them to assist with researching, selecting, and advising the portfolio. Remarkably, it appears to be working!”

For Eric, the Oregon Angel Fund is a way to collaborate with old friends, and make new friends, in a manner that’s fun and rewarding on many levels.

A fourth-generation Portlander and former entrepreneur, Eric believes strongly in the transformative power of community and entrepreneurship, and is proud of the fund’s role in helping to shape Oregon’s economic future. He received his MBA from The Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland, and has degrees in Industrial Engineering and American Studies from Stanford.
