Eric Coburn is a Managing Director in the New York office of Duff & Phelps and a member of the Healthcare M&A practice. He has more than 30 years of experience advising a broad array of healthcare payors and providers throughout the U.S. He has worked with private, publicly-traded, not-for-profit and provider-sponsored companies as well as private equity firms and state agencies. He has served as an advisor on many innovative and complex transactions. His experience includes M&A, strategic and capital advisory services, financial advisory and monitoring services, valuations, fairness opinions, restructuring and capital raising.
Eric has extensive experience in managed care (commercial, Medicaid, Medicaid, dental/vision, care management) and outsourced clinical services, where most recently he has been especially active in physician related transactions. His experience includes home health, laboratory, behavioral health, hospitals and long-term care/senior living. Eric has written and is a speaker on a variety of healthcare industry topics.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps in 2016, Eric spent almost his entire career at various iterations of the same firm. He joined Raymond James in 2012 following the acquisition of Morgan Keegan, which he joined in 2007. Eric spent most of his career with Shattuck Hammond Partners, which was acquired by Morgan Keegan.
Eric received a M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago and a B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, from Wesleyan University.
