During this time, Michael has been instrumental in cultivating PCE’s philosophy of teamwork, industry leadership, and client focus. He finds his greatest satisfaction in helping business owners identify unique and imaginative strategies to meet their goals. Michael understands the importance of putting his clients’ needs first, always recommending ideas and tactics that he himself would pursue.

Michael has nearly 30 years of M&A and corporate finance experience within the public and private sector, with an emphasis on the Building Products, Construction & Engineering, and Finance industries. Over the course of his career, he has personally handled more than $1 billion in transactions in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Rafael Romero is a Principal at Emigrant Capital Corp., and is responsibility for the deal origination and execution. Prior to joining ECC, Mr. Romero was an Investment Professional at Prospect Capital Management, where he was responsible for originating, executing and managing private equity and debt investments in a variety of industries. Prior to joining Prospect, Mr. Romero was an Analyst at Rockwood Equity Partners, where he was responsible for transaction sourcing, analysis, due diligence and financing of lower-middle market industrial and service companies. He received a B.A. in Business Administration from Augustana College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Ian Garland is a Vice President at Shoreline. Prior to joining Shoreline, from 2014 to 2019, Mr. Garland was an Associate and then promoted to a Senior Associate at PNC Riverarch. From 2011 to 2014, he was as an Investment Banking Analyst at Raymond James & Associates.

Mr. Garland holds a B.S. in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from the University of Florida and a M.S. in Finance from the University of Tampa. He is a CFA charterholder.

KLH Capital is a fully capitalized private equity firm which currently manages roughly $350 million in capital across two funds to facilitate majority and minority ownership transactions into specialty services, value added distribution, and niche manufacturing companies. During our nearly 30-year business tenure, we have successfully completed more than 130 transactions, including recapitalizations, management buy-outs and buy-ins, family successions and retirement transitions, corporate divestitures, and growth capital investments.

Kyle is a Partner with KLH Capital and is primarily responsible for identifying, structuring and executing transactions, due diligence, and portfolio management. He serves on the Board of Directors for BMI Merchandise. Prior to joining the private equity group in 2009, he was involved in a variety of brokerage-related capacities within the wealth management and insurance industry. An active member of the M&A industry, he has served on the Board of Directors of the M&A Source, was the 2013 chairman of the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA), and is asked to speak regularly at industry-related events and conferences.

Kyle is a native of Amherst, New Hampshire. He graduated from the University of Tampa’s John H. Sykes College of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He enjoys fishing, boating, snow skiing, and spending time with his wife, Christine, and son, Grant.
