In support of Backpack Buddies. Backpack buddies exists to fill the weekend gap for children in Metro Vancouver. Everyday, thousands of children in our community are going hungry. While school breakfast, lunch and snack programs are actively addressing the crisis, the weekend remains a difficult time for many families. With Backpack Buddies, a backpack of food is provided on a Friday afternoon that's full of meals and snacks for the weekend, ensuring that every child return to school on Monday morning fed and ready to learn.
