Michael Rodriguez is a cross-functional executive leader in fast-growth, complex and high-energy environments, with a strong financial and operational acumen in both public and private companies.
Michael serves as Chief Financial Officer for Magnolia, a Waco, TX-based brand with varied business interests in the retail, real estate, restaurant, and media industries. During the previous 15 years, he served in executive roles in life sciences, medical technology and diagnostics companies, including as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior, he led the financial functions of several technology-enabled service delivery businesses in human capital management, online entertainment ticketing and access management, and healthcare information technology. In these capacities, he’s been privileged to lead teams across virtually every disciplinary function, conducted multiple mergers and acquisitions (buy-side and sell-side), raised hundreds of millions of dollars in capital (equity and debt), and helped create organizations centered on servant leadership principles. He began his career in public accounting as an auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co.
He received an MBA from Stanford University, a BS in Accounting from the University of Southern California, and is an adjunct professor in the Crowell School of Business at Biola University. In 2008, the Orange County (CA) Business Journal recognized him as a finalist for “Public Company CFO of the Year.”
