Filip Blazheski

BBVA Compass

Senior Economist

Filip Blazheski is a Senior Economist at BBVA Research’s U.S. unit. He supports the unit’s macroeconomic analysis and forecasting and conducts research on banking, residential and commercial real estate trends.
Filip has been with BBVA Research since 2015. Previously, he worked for Nathan Associates Inc., an economics consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. At Nathan Associates, he managed economic development consulting projects worldwide. Prior to that, he worked for the Government of Macedonia and the consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, focusing on economic policy formulation and implementation.
Filip holds a master’s degree from Cambridge University, UK and a bachelor’s degree from St. Cyril and Methodius University, Macedonia. He has completed continuing education courses at Penn State University, New York University and HEC Paris.
