ACG Detroit is proud to offer a series of seminars to help business owners drive value in their business.  The seminars will be held quarterly in 2018. These Lunch & Learn seminars are designed to introduce business owners to topics outside their day to day activities and provide tools and a network to guide their business into purposeful growth.

Kurt Harvey

Great Expressions Dental Centers
Chief Development Officer

Kurt Harvey is currently responsible for driving and executing on Great Expressions Dental Centers’ (GEDC) growth strategy. Kurt has extensive strategic management and leadership skills with a proven track record closing and successfully integrating affiliations. During his tenure, GEDC has affiliated with over 200 dental practices in ten states achieving over 500% revenue growth. Kurt has put GEDC in a position to further accelerate growth, while allowing GEDC’s dental professionals and their teams to continue providing and enhancing quality services to their patients.

Harvey joined GEDC in 2006 as the Vice President of Finance where he led overall financial operations and then shifted his focus to creating and ramping a business development function in 2010. Prior to joining GEDC, he was a director of transaction services at KPMG, where he provided merger and acquisition advisory on small to mid-market transactions across multiple industries and borders. Prior to that, he developed a solid foundation of assurance service and management skills with Deloitte and Andersen, advising clients ranging from start-up enterprises to Global 100 corporations.

Harvey graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree from Albion College in Economics and Management. He is a certified public accountant in Michigan and California, a member of each the AICPA and MACPA, a member of the Association for Corporate Growth Detroit, an Ironman triathlete, a Crain’s Detroit Top 40 under 40 alumni, and the Chair of the Board of the non-profit organization Transracial Journeys, which has helped over 30 families each year for the past five years in their journey understanding and navigating the world of transracial adoption.

Gary Lewis

Managing Director

Mr. Lewis brings 20 years of private equity investing, investment banking and operational experience to the firm, including involvement in approximately $8 billion in transaction and advisory assignments. He has an extensive background in mergers & acquisitions and capital raising, including asset-based, senior cash flow, mezzanine and unitranche debt, and public and private equity offerings.

Mr. Lewis graduated from Kalamazoo College with a B.A. in economics. He also holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

Jeffrey M. Weiss

Partner

Jeffrey M. Weiss is a partner in the Southfield office of Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss. He is a member of the Firm's Securities Regulation and Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Groups, representing both public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, strategic transactions and other general corporate matters. In addition, Jeff acts as general corporate counsel for many private companies and advises public companies with respect to their reporting requirements and corporate governance obligations. Jeff serves on Jaffe's Finance Committee and has served on its Board of Directors.

Jeff earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan and is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.
