Since the inception of Huffman Developments in 1983, Mr. Huffman’s real estate experience has included the acquisition, financing, development, leasing and sale of numerous multi-family residential, industrial and commercial properties, including the acquisition, master planning and development of an 85-acre parcel of land, as well as a specialty hospital and supporting medical office building. Most recently he has developed numerous medical campuses including multiple commercial office buildings in San Antonio, Texas which included approximately 400,000 square feet of buildings. He recently developed medical facilities in other markets in Texas and Colorado. He has acted as the Owners Representative for multiple projects including USO in the development and construction of 2 facilities in the Washington, D.C. market whose duties also included direct interaction with the White House and the Pentagon. He is currently acting on behalf of the Army Historical Foundation to develop an 82-acre campus that will include the 182,000 square-foot National Museum of the United States Army just outside of Washington D.C. Steve is a Certified Public Accountant and a Licensed Real Estate Broker. He obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin in 1976. Steve has been actively involved in leadership positions on various civic boards and commissions including the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, the Finance committee of the Christus Santa Rosa Health Care System, the San Antonio Chapter of the Texas Society of CPA’s, Ella Austin Community Center, San Antonio Job Training commission, United Way, the Boy Scouts of America, and Ballet San Antonio. He also was the founder and serves as President of Returning Heroes Home, a not-for-profit organization that developed a 12,000 square foot facility that was donated to the U.S. Army as well as a 7 acre Recreational and Therapeutic Garden to compliment the newly constructed Warrior and Family Support Center.
