Andy joined Act-On in late 2015, hand picked by the founder to step in as his replacement and scale the company.  He brought serious experience in automation with him, having served in senior executive roles for juggernauts like Salesforce and Oracle prior to Act-On Software.  

 

Delivering early stage growth with marketing automation software was a challenge Act-On conquered early. Leveraging that growth and rapidly expanding to 10X in size required a systematic process, the right technologies and even thoughtful application of the companies’ own software. It required the right leader, Andy MacMillan. Andy MacMillan Bio: 

Andy MacMillan is Chief Executive Officer of Act-On and oversees the strategic direction of the company. Prior to joining Act-On, Andy held several senior leadership positions at Salesforce, including Chief Operating Officer of the Products Division and Senior Vice President & General Manager of Data.com. In both these roles he helped significantly grow customer adoption of Salesforce products and services.

Prior to Salesforce, Andy was Vice President of Product Management at Oracle and Vice President of Product Marketing at Stellent (acquired by Oracle). He started his career as a software developer at EDS. Andy holds a B.A. from Michigan State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland).
